Golden State Earns Trip to Memphis in Second Round
After dropping the first two games of their first-round playoff series against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Golden State Warriors rallied to win Game 5 decisively, 118-94, and eliminate the Kings from the postseason. Kevin Durant led the way for the Warriors, scoring 33 points on 13-of-23 shooting from the field. Stephen Curry added 27 points, while Klay Thompson chipped in with 20. The Kings were led by De'Aaron Fox, who scored 29 points. Buddy Hield added 17 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Warriors' firepower. The Warriors struggled away from home all season, but they weren't going to let that stop them from advancing in the playoffs. They played with great intensity and focus on defense, and they were able to force the Kings into some tough shots.
